The Togo Public Treasury raised, on Friday, August 11, 2023, the sum of 38.410 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market. This was at the end of a simultaneous issuance of auctions of 364-day treasury equivalent bonds (BAT) and 3- and 5-year treasury equivalent bonds (OATs)

Togo organized this operation in order to ensure that the financing needs of its budget are covered. For the purposes of the operation, the issuer had auctioned an amount of 35 billion FCFA. In the end, he ended up with global tenders of 48.562 billion FCFA. This gives a coverage rate of 138.75% for the amount put up for tender

The amount of successful bids was 38.410 billion FCFA and the rejected one was 10.152 billion FCFA. This corresponds to an absorption rate of 79.09%. Investors whose bids were successful will end up with a weighted return of 7.76% for 364-day bonds, 7.83% for 3-year bonds, and 7.60% for 5-year

bonds.

BATs are refundable on the first business day following the due date of August 11, 2024. For their part, interest is payable in advance and precounted against its nominal value. With respect to bonds, the repayment of their capital will take place on the first business day following the maturity date set at July 31, 2026 for 3-year securities and July 31, 2028 for 5-year securities.
