The signing of a share purchase agreement (SPA) took place on Tuesday, August 15, in Gabon. It is an agreement between the company Maurel pétrolière & Prom (M&P) with the

société American investment firm Carlyle International Energy Partners.

The agreement between the two partners specifically concerns the acquisition of the entire portfolio of upstream and downstream petroleum assets, owned by Carlyle in Gabon, through Assala Energy Holdings. According to the CEO of M&P, Olivier de Langavant, this operation marks a decisive step for the company. Its duty is to promote the merger of the asset portfolios operated by the two companies in Gabon in order to create a broader base of onshore assets whose potential would be exploitable in a profitable manner over the long term
