Maritime activity at the Dakar Autonomous Port (Pad) fell by 17.3% in June 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

The National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD) indicated that the decrease in maritime activity in Dakar is caused by the simultaneous drop in landings (-24.6%) and embarkations (-0.4%) during this period. Despite the increase in refined hydrocarbons (+32.7%), the landings situation is linked to the decrease in landings of various goods (-44.9%) and those of seafood (-26.4%)
