The Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) of the Opp+ alliance (the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and their Allies) held a meeting on Wednesday. As a prelude to this meeting, oil was losing some ground.

Oil bends ahead of an Opep+ technical meeting. Around 11:25am, Brent lost 0.95% to 90.06 dollars and WTI fell by 1.11% to 88.24 dollars. Indeed, the strength of the dollar is weighing on crude oil and investors are being cautious before the said technical meeting of exporting countries is held

Around 09:25 GMT (11:25 CET), Brent oil from the North Sea, for delivery in December, lost 0.95% to 90.06 dollars. Its American equivalent, a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI), for delivery in November, fell by 1.11% to 88.24 dollars
