The Transitional Government of Guinea set up by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya has successfully raised 5000 billion Guinean francs (500 million US dollars) on the local financial market.

The Minister of Economy and Finance Moussa Cissé, a key player in the negotiations that led to the finalization of this fundraising agreement, announced the closure of the fundraising operation. This loan was launched in order to fill the budget deficit in the Finance Act. The banks will use part of their bond reserves, transformed into Treasury bonds (ODT), for a first amount of GNF 2,000 billion over a period of 4 years at a rate of 9% and the second instalment of 3 trillion GNF will extend over 5 years, with a net rate of 13% after deducting taxes and charges according to the terms of the MoU
