Lors d' une conférence de presse qui s' est tenue le vendredi 6 octobre 2023 à Abidjan, Rafael Soriano, the new president of the International Cocoa Council (ICCO), is committed to continuing to strengthen ICCO's role in the global cocoa industry

The Spanish Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, who replaces the Dominican Abel Fernandez as president of the International Cocoa Council, said he was aware of the importance of ICCO in the cocoa industry. The latter believes that it will meet the challenges of improving income for producers and the sustainability of cocoa, in particular deforestation. According to the latter, “ICCO will be a privileged space for dialogue”. ICCO is an intergovernmental organization founded in 1973. Its mission is to promote and support the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the cocoa value chain.
