During an interview given on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Marrakech, Morocco, Hassatou Diop N'Sele indicated that the bond will be of a “reference” size. Hybrid bonds are debt-like equity instruments that have a lower credit rating than senior bonds. Multilateral development banks are under pressure to maximize their balance sheets and adopt innovative forms of financing to lend more for development and the fight against climate change
