With more than 20 billion FCFA in exceptional transactions, the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) closed its trading session on Monday, October 23, 2023.

The BRVM recorded a notable performance at the beginning of this week compared to the 2.621 billion FCFA recorded during the previous session on Friday 20 October 2023. The increase in transactions is mainly due to a traded value of 19.905 billion FCFA in the bond segment, mainly fuelled by the massive purchase of TPCI 5.65% 202—2029 bonds, at a bond price of 10,000 FCFA

In addition, the BRVM stock indices have trended downward. The main indexes, namely the composite index, the BRVM 30 index, and the BRVM Prestige index, all recorded declines, with percentages of 0.88%, 0.83%, and 1.84% respectively. The market capitalization of the stock market recorded a contraction of 68.937 billion to 7.735.737 billion FCFA, compared to the 7.804.674 billion FCFA recorded the previous Friday.
