Le 25 octobre 2023, le Conseil d' administration du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement a accordé son approbation pour un prêt de 203.11 million euros in Cameroon.

The financial support granted by the ADB is intended to implement the Territorial Development and Private Sector Promotion Project in the Far North Region of Cameroon. According to Serge N'Guessan, Managing Director Central Africa and country representative of the BAD in Cameroon, “this operation, by its integrative nature, will serve as a catalyst for the implementation of several other projects, in particular, in the & sectors of rsquo; agriculture and agro-industry, water and sanitation as well as the promotion of human capital. It is truly one of the effective responses to the socio-economic marginalization from which this region, the poorest in Cameroon, has been suffering for several years, and which justifies the option taken by the Bank, in consultation with the government, to focus its actions there
