Eurojust and Nigeria organized a ceremony to sign a working agreement on Thursday, November 9, in order to strengthen cooperation in the fight against organized criminal groups.

The agreement signed by Nigeria's Attorney General, Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, is the first of its kind with a sub-Saharan African country. The agreement aims to create a contact point for Eurojust style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, "serif""> in Nigeria, facilitating faster and more structured judicial cooperation between that country and the US member states. This agreement includes provisions for data protection and for the exchange of strategic information.
