Over the first nine months (April to the end of December) of its fiscal year 2023-2024, the investment company HBM Healthcare Investments expects to receive a net loss of CHF 158 million. It is hampered by the negative effect of currencies and value adjustments

The Zug-based investment firm specializing in biotech indicated that exchange rates weighed 8.5% on performance, while adjustments worth 49 million francs on investments added to the bill. In the first nine months of 2022—23, HBM had already incurred a net loss of 154.7 million francs, due to the decline in the capitalization value of one of its main positions. In the first half of 2023-2024, HBM had suffered a net loss of 70 million. Detailed results for the period will be published on 22 January.
