On Wednesday 10 January, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced that it had made a $30 million investment in the venture capital fund focused on sub-Saharan Africa, Seedstars Africa Ventures I.

The announced investment was executed by BEI Monde, which is the specialized branch of the EIB focused on financing development. Indeed, Seedstars Africa Ventures I will use this financing to provide seed capital, up to $2 million, and also invest up to $5 million in innovative start-ups that design and implement digital technologies in Africa. Thanks to this start-up capital, the beneficiary start-ups will be able to develop their products and services, as well as their activities in their respective markets
