The Franco-Senegalese computer scientist Fatoumata Sissi Ngom officially launched an online platform on Monday “A Proposal Named Desire”. This platform is dedicated to collaboration, the fertilization of ideas and knowledge, and to the implementation of impact projects in the environmental field, access to water and basic infrastructures, the local economy, and mental health.

In a press release, it is stated that the new “online platform launched today aims to make (...) cities in the Global South models of creativity and sustainable development, from which the world can be inspired”. The platform includes, among other things, an observatory that issues analyses and recommendations, proposes projects to be financed and various digital content in French, English, and Wolof. According to the press release, the platform is “the meeting of a connected whole between public policies, political economy, data, industry, anthropology, spirituality, spirituality, art and cultural heritage”.
