At the end of the trading session on Thursday, February 29, 2024, transactions on the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) market recorded good performances.

The value of the transactions was 626.366 million FCFA to 286.370 million FCFA the day before. Regarding the market capitalization of the equity market, it recorded an increase of 34.11 billion to 7942.798 billion FCFA against 7,908.688 billion FCFA on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. That of the bond market fell by 11.848 million, from 10,288.490 billion FCFA the day before to 10,300.338 billion FCFA on February 29, 2024.

The composite index (general stock market index) rose by 0.43% to 213.50 points against 212.58 points the day before. As for the BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the Stock Exchange), it also recorded an increase of 0.56% to 107.53 points against 106.93 points previously. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index (an index comprising all the stocks listed on the Prestige compartment) fell slightly by 0.03% to 99.66 points against 99.69

The stocks in the Top 5 of the BRVM equity market performed poorly with price increases of between 2.05 and 1.41%. The Top 5 of the largest price increases are occupied respectively by Orange Côte d'Ivoire shares (plus 2.05% at 10 950 FCFA), Bernabé Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.82% at 1,120 FCFA), NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.77% at 5 77% at 5 750 FCFA), Société Ivoirienne de Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.490 FCFA) and BOA Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.490 FCFA) 1% to 7,200 FCFA
