The former Director general of the Société des Eaux de Guinée (SEG) and his accountant appeared before the Court for the Suppression of Offences under economic and financial (CRIEF) on Wednesday 06 March last

Mamadou Djouldé Diallo and his accountant are accused of “forgery of public records, illicit enrichment and corruption”. However, they denied the charges against them. The case had been opened before the former CRIEF trial chamber, but its progress had been delayed by several referrals. According to the accusations, Mamadou Djouldé Diallo is accused of issuing order forms that he could not justify. Among these order forms, there are in particular large amounts awarded to various companies without prior contracts and without details on the services provided.
