En cette fin de semaine, les Copper prices in Shanghai have changed little but are on the verge of experiencing their biggest monthly rise in 16 months amid the outlook for lower supply.

At 01:45 GMT, the most traded copper contract in May on the Shanghai Futures Exchange was up 10 yuan, or 0.01%, to 72,190 yuan (9,988.65 dollars) per metric ton. The contract has gained nearly 5% so far this month, heading for its biggest monthly gain since November 2022. Copper is used in the energy, transport and construction sectors.

SHFE lead increased by 2.42% to 16,740 yuan per ton. Aluminum rose by 0.82% to 19,595 yuan, nickel by 0.54% to 130,400 yuan, zinc by 0.55% to 20,930 yuan and tin by 1.21% to 226,070 yuan. Lead futures prices rose to the highest level in four months due to the prospects of a tighter supply
