The document to strengthen the mechanism for implementing the research and innovation fund was validated on Friday 10 May 2024 in Lomé by actors, executives from universities in Togo and other stakeholders.

The Research and Innovation Fund aims to finance innovative projects, support researchers and innovators, and promote the valorization of research results. During this meeting, the stakeholders took a critical and constructive look at this report, while providing valuable contributions, based on their expertise and experiences, before finalizing it

The effective implementation of the validated document will allow the development of a national fund to support Research and Innovation. The findings broaden the political and institutional space for researchers and innovators, while creating effective links, synergies, and complementarities between government, academia, industry, and society
