Le Benin has joined the agreement to establish the Fund for African Export Development (FEDA), the Bank's impact investment platform African Import-Export (Afreximbank). The country is the very last country to join this agreement.

The total number of African countries participating in the African Export Development Fund (FEDA) increased to 17 following the accession of Benin. This membership demonstrates Benin's support for Afreximbank's efforts to broaden the effectiveness of FEDA, by encouraging its member states to sign and ratify the agreement establishing FEDA, and to support the organization's goals in terms of impact investing.
