In a statement published on Tuesday, the public relations office of the national police announced that “contrary to what has been reported, on April 25, 2024, at around 1 pm, the Kébémer urban police station received the lady Aïssatou Faye who has Claimed to have been the victim of extortion worth 300,000 CFA francs by traffic police officers on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 around 15:00 in Kébémer. According to the police, after a summary check on the origin of the funds and her activities, the two police officers told her that she was not allowed to drive with such an amount.
