The Nigerian stock exchange published a weekly trading report in Lagos on Friday. The document mentions that investors on the stock exchange traded a total turnover of 2.189 billion shares worth 31.303 billion naira in 39,362 transactions

The weekly report showed that the numbers contrasted with a total of 1.986 billion shares valued at 40.715 billion naira that were traded last week in 38,487 deals. While the oil and gas industry follows with 55.349 million shares worth 3.093 billion naira in 2,109 deals, the financial services sector tops the business rankings with 1.914 billion shares valued at 23.922 billion naira traded in 21,717 deals. Transactions in the three main stocks, vize.Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, "serif">, Access Holdings Plc-Zenith et Bank Plc, represented 1.129 billion shares worth 14.914 billion Naira in 6,494 transactions, contributing 51.57% and 47.64% respectively to the volume and total value of equity turnover
