The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Angolan Development Bank (BDA), João Quintas said last Wednesday that 96 billion kwanzas were disbursed by the bank to finance 146 projects in the country's fisheries sector.

At the 15th edition of CaféCipra, the director of the BDA explained that out of the 146 funded projects, 123 are already operational, while others are in the final stages of implementation, including a factory for fishing nets and other materials. According to the latter, the amount disbursed corresponds to 20% of the bank's credit portfolio since 2017, and the institution remains open to financing other fishing projects, in particular for aquaculture.
