More than 11,000 young economists benefit from continental training to specialize in macroeconomic modeling issues. This African network was set up by the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDED).

The director of IDEP, Karima Bounemra Ben Soltane said on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the African Macroeconomics Day on the theme: “Promoting macroeconomic stability and growth in Africa” that these young economists, Masters or Doctorates, who “sometimes have a slightly theoretical vision of the challenge” development”, are invited to propose “different visions, their perspectives, and to work on aspects that are as technical as they are strategic
