Over the past year, trade between Morocco and Algeria has declined, falling by 62% over one year to 1.3 billion dirhams ($130 million), the lowest level since 1999.

Data from the Moroccan Exchange Office mentions Moroccan imports from Algeria fell last year to 650 million Dirhams, a decrease of 61% compared to the previous year, while Moroccan exports to Algeria stood at around 653 million Dirhams, registering a drop of 18%.
