Le jeudi 27 juin 2024 à Lomé, il s' est tenu la 142 ème session ordinaire du Conseil d' Administration de la Banque ouest africaine de développement (BOAD ) . On the occasion, nine new operations were approved for a total amount of 162.339 billion

CFA francs.

The nine new transactions approved at the meeting of the BOAD board of directors, are worth a total of 162.339 billion FCFA and bring to 8,723.7 billion FCFA, the total commitments of the BOAD , since the start of its operational activities in 1976. The loans approved concern the partial financing of several projects. This includes the establishment of a refinancing line in favor of the Sahelo-Saharan Bank for Investment and Trade in Côte d'Ivoire (BSIC CI). This grant will enable BSIC CI to increase its medium-term financing activity for productive investment projects in favor of SMEs and SMIs and to consolidate its development while contributing to the growth of the national economy. The amount of the operation is 10 billion CFA francs. The council approves a second phase of the Togo Agri-Food Processing Project (PTA-Togo). This project, whose objective is to promote inclusive agricultural growth that creates jobs, reduce food imports from the area and promote private investment in targeted sectors, will also strengthen the capacities of actors in priority agro-industrial sectors. Another financing is the acquisition of a stake BOAD in the capital of the Project Development Fund of the Alliance for Green Infrastructure in Africa (AGIA-PD

).

Phase 2 of the Water Valorization Project for the Development of Value Chains (PROVALE-CV2), in the Republic of Senegal, was also approved by the council. To contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the area, the project will focus on restoring soil fertility, increasing agricultural, animal and aquaculture production, as well as increasing the incomes of beneficiaries
