The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has validated the acquisition of Société Générale Congo by BGFIBank according to a decision made public through a press release published last Friday.

The transaction allows BGFIBank Congo S.A. to become the sole shareholder of ADIC S.A. (formerly Société Générale Congo), thus holding 100% of the shares. According to Henri-Claude OYIMA, Chairman and CEO of the BGFIBank Group, “this acquisition is good news for the Group, which is delighted to welcome Société Générale Congo. It attests to the solidity and effectiveness of our 2025 Dynamic Business Project, the objective of which is to ensure the controlled, profitable and sustainable growth of the BGFIBank Group. In accordance with pillar 5 of our Strategic Plan concerning development, the Group is continuing its search for new opportunities to expand its activities in its various countries of operation in order to position itself as a player in the transformation of African economies.”
