The managing director of Nigeria Backbone Infrastructure Limited (NBIL) announced that his group plans to devote $4 billion to the Nigerian mining sector in the coming years.

NBil wants to invest 172 billion dollars over 22 years in various sectors, ranging from energy to agriculture to transport. Regarding the mobilization of funds, the Nigerian company wants to develop joint ventures involving not only national and international investors, but also the government. It should be noted that Nigeria's mineral resources are valued at 700 billion dollars and their exploitation can truly transform the mining sector, whose contribution to GDP remains less than 1%.
