The West Africa Competitiveness Program (WACOMP) takes another step forward with the launch of its official website. This new platform will allow users to keep abreast of progress in program implementation, but also encourage more interaction and engagement from WACOMP beneficiaries and stakeholders.

<span "="" style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 20px;">The official WACOMP website (www.wacomp.ecowas.int) is now online. Designed to provide a platform for sharing knowledge and information, the website will help inform the public about the activities and achievements of WACOMP, sensitize program beneficiaries, encourage increased participation of beneficiaries, stakeholders and partners both at national and regional level and share resources with national and regional actors.

The new website has been designed to provide a user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality. It aims to share relevant and engaging information with the various stakeholders operating in the selected value chains under the national components of WACOMP, such as cassava, mango, textiles/clothing or information technology. and communication in West Africa.

The website will focus on information related to WACOMP activities and results, value chains of critical importance to the region, and all other relevant topics at the regional and national levels.

A section devoted to "News and Events" will keep visitors informed of the latest activities carried out and to come, while a "Resources" section will provide access to a number of very useful tools such as publications, newsletters information, and other multimedia supports.

Funded by the European Union (EU), WACOMP aims to support several selected value chains at national and regional levels to promote structural transformation and better access to regional and international markets, while taking into account social and environmental considerations. . The overall objective of the program is to strengthen the competitiveness of West African countries and improve the integration of these countries into the regional and international trading system.

WACOMP is implemented at the regional level with the support of the International Trade Center (ITC) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and at the national level in each of the ECOWAS Member States and in Mauritania. Each country independently chose an implementing agency for the purposes of the program.
