The Deputy Director of Public Expenditure Scheduling at the Senegalese Ministry of Finance and Budget, Alpha Diagne announced that as of June 30, 2024, the active portfolio of the African Development Bank (ADB) in Senegal covers 39 operations for a total commitment of 1. 630 billion FCFA (about 2.7 billion dollars)

During a workshop on disbursement procedures at the level of the Bank's portfolio in Senegal, Alpha Diagne announced that “the AfDB is one of the most important partners in terms of financial cooperation and with a portfolio of 39 projects, for an estimated financing volume of 1.630 billion FCFA, composed of loans and grants”. For his part, the AfDB portfolio manager, Yann Ilboudo, indicated that “30% of the projects (financed by the African Development Bank in Senegal) are in the transport sector, 20% in agriculture, 15% in the financial sector and the rest are distributed in the sectors of energy, water and sanitation, information and communication technologies
