.Brent oil lost 12 cents, $2.02, or 0.15%, to reach $77.54. West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures, which expire on Tuesday, were at $74.23 per barrel, losing 14 cents, or 0.2%. The more actively negotiated second-month contract was down 15 cents, or 0.2%, to $73.52. Brent fell by around 2.5% on Monday, while WTI fell by 3%. Rate cuts are reducing borrowing costs and could boost oil demand in the world's largest oil-consuming country. In the United States, crude inventories are expected to have fallen by 2.9 million barrels last week
