The training workshop initiated by the ILO aims to train members of the special commission for the just transition of the National Framework for Social Dialogue (CNDS), relevant actors of social dialogue, and national actors involved in dialogue with investors and multinational companies in order to strengthen their capabilities on issues related to responsible business conduct in the context of just ecological transition. The objective is to discuss how this Declaration could further mobilize the potential of businesses, trade, and investments to promote decent work and inclusive growth in Côte d'Ivoire. Côte d'Ivoire aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 30.41% by increasing the share of renewable energies to 42% by 2030

This workshop covers several themes, including “Achieving a just transition to an environmentally sustainable economy and society for all in Côte d'Ivoire”, “Mobilizing the contribution of businesses for a just transition in Côte d'Ivoire”, “Mobilizing the contribution of businesses for a just transition in Cô te d'Ivoire: the role of responsible business conduct and the guidelines proposed by the ILO Declaration on Multinational Enterprises”, and “The promotion of the MNE Declaration in Côte d'Ivoire: the national action plan”.
