La Nigeria's NNPCL is expanding its influence in the global energy market. It increased its exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japan and China. Despite a drop in production in 2023 due to raw material shortages, Nigeria's annual LNG production capacity is notable, at 22 million metric tons.
