On 19 August, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published a report on foreign trade between Cameroon and African countries. According to this report, Côte d'Ivoire was the first African supplier to Cameroon in 2023.

The INS document indicates that Côte d'Ivoire won 15.9% of the Cameroonian market shares in 2023, by supplying the country with 84,369 tons of goods worth nearly 76 billion CFA francs. According to information, the country owes its leadership on the Cameroonian market to two main products, in particular crude palm oil, then fuels and other lubricants. These two products alone account for 65% of the value of Ivorian exports to Cameroon in 2023

.

This year, the country supplied Cameroon with 39,327 tons of crude palm oil. According to the INS report, these imports provided the West African country with revenues of around 27.2 billion CFA francs, representing 36% of the value of all Ivorian exports

to Cameroon.
