The World Power to X Summit, an unmissable event to discover key initiatives and cutting-edge strategies in the field of green hydrogen and associated technologies, is being held on 8 and 9 October at the Marrakech Convention Center under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This summit, organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco, the Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), the Green H2 Cluster, the Green H2 Cluster, the Green H2 Cluster, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN), focuses on the recent progress of large-scale projects in progress, as well as on financing opportunities in the field of green hydrogen and clean molecules.

Aligned with the High Royal Guidelines for the development of green hydrogen, the 4th edition of the summit particularly highlights the ambitious “Morocco Green Hydrogen Offer”. This offer reflects the Kingdom's commitment to accelerated decarbonization, taking advantage of its natural assets and technological advances to become a global hub for the competitive production of green hydrogen and its derivatives

The World Power-to-X Summit will highlight the progress made under this offering, ranging from pilot projects to industrial initiatives, while addressing regulatory aspects. Mr. Samir Rachidi, Executive Director of IRESEN, said: “IRESEN is proud to play a key role in the establishment of this platform for high-level political and economic dialogue, by promoting innovation and research applied to the market, in a framework of synergy between the various actors.

Mohammed Yahya Zniber, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, emphasized the importance of the private sector in this dynamic. He affirmed that “the private sector must take the initiative to invest in this area, actively engaging through a shared vision and a multilateral approach.

He concluded by saying that this summit is a unique opportunity to share ideas, build partnerships, and work together for a sustainable energy future.
