After a simultaneous issuance of an auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days and equivalent treasury bonds (OATs) of 3 years, on October 16, 2024, the Mali Public Treasury collected on October 16, 2024 an amount of 15.700 billion CFA francs (26.690 million dollars) in the financial market of Western Monetary Union African.

The amount that was put up for auction was 25 billion FCFA. That of global tenders is 26 415 billion CFA francs. This gives a coverage rate of 105.66% for the amount put up for auction. The amount of successful tenders is 15,700 billion FCFA and that rejected at 10,715 billion FCFA. This corresponds to an absorption rate of 59.44%

Investors whose submissions were successful will end up with a weighted average return of 9.81% for bonds and 8.88% for 3-year bonds.

The Mali Public Treasury intends to repay the vouchers issued on the first working day following the due date set on October 15, 2025. Interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the vouchers

As for the repayment of the principal of the bonds, it is scheduled on the first business day following the due date set at September 19, 2027. On the other hand, interest is payable per year at the rate of 6.15% at the end of the first
