At the end of the last trading session in October 2024 of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM), the capitalization of the bond market increased by 70 billion FCFA.

This capitalization increased from 10 479.132 billion FCFA on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 to 10 549,132 billion FCFA on Thursday, October 31, 2024. This increase is explained by the first listing of the bond issued by the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (BIDC) entitled “BIDC-EBID GSS 6.50% 2024-2031"

in the amount of 70 billion CFA francs.

The loan was part of a larger financing program, intended to support projects that had a positive impact on sustainable development. The operation aimed on the one hand to finance the recovery plan in the UEMOA zone in a post-Covid-19 context and on the other hand to finance projects to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals

The titles were broadcast to the public from July 15, 2024 to July 19, 2024. At the end of this operation, 7 million BIDC 6.50% 2024-2031 bonds were subscribed on the UEMOA regional financial market for a total amount of 70 billion CFA francs

As for the market capitalization of the equity market, it recorded an increase of 20.07 billion FCFA to 9,735.056 billion FCFA against 9714.986 billion FCFA the day before. The value of transactions was 991.953 million FCFA against 1.029 billion FCFA

the day before.

The BRVM Composite Index rose by 0.21% to 271.09 points against 270.53 points the day before. As for the BRVM 30 index, it increased by 0.31% to 134.93 points against 134.49 points previously. On the other hand, the BRVM Prestige index lost 0.51% to 114.41 points against 115.00 points

on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

The Top 5 of the largest price increases are occupied respectively by the shares Société Ivoirienne de Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.46% at 7,200 FCFA), Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.70% at 895 FCFA), Bernabé Côte d'Ivoire (plus 0.87% at 1,155 FCFA), Sonatel Senegal (plus 1.70% at 895 FCFA), Sonatel Senegal (plus 0.59% at 23,700 FCFA) and Orange Côte d'Ivoire (plus 0.48% at 15 800 FCFA

).

The Flop 5 of the largest price drops is occupied by SMB Côte d'Ivoire (minus 7.49% to 12,230 FCFA), Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Électrice Côte d'Ivoire (minus 7.47% to 2,355 FCFA), Tractafric Motors Côte d'Ivoire (minus 7.46% to 1,985 FCFA), Sucrivoire Ivory Coast (minus 2.27% to 860 FCFA) and Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire Ivory (minus 2.22% at 440 FCFA
