The AfDB financed the third phase of the Programme to Modernize Road Infrastructure in Tunisia with a loan of 80.16 million euros.

The project, which has a total cost of 86.21 million euros, was approved by the ADB Board of Directors last December. It is 92.98% financed by the bank itself, while the Tunisian government's contribution amounts to 6.05 million euros. In reality, the Road Infrastructure Modernization Program is mainly aimed at strengthening 188.9 kilometers of classified roads in seven governorates such as Kef, Kasserine, Sousse, Sousse, Sfax, Sfax, Kairouan, Kairouan, Siliana and Gafsa. The intervention of the ADB will significantly improve the quality of the roads concerned and the travel conditions for users.
