The scam reported by APBEF-B targets banks. According to reports, a Burkinabe resident opened a bank account to receive funds allegedly sent by a foreign partner, accompanied by false documents as evidence. APBEF-B said that scammers then use pressure or bribery attempts to get credit on their account. Thus, the association calls on customers to be vigilant and to report any attempt to the competent authorities.
