Météo-France: Réunion on red alert as cyclone Garance approaches

This morning, cyclone Garance, described as “dangerous” by Météo-France, is approaching Réunion, whose population is now in lockdown. The authorities fear gusts exceeding 200 km/h and a swell that can reach more than 8 meters. If the phenomenon maintains its current trajectory, it should pass less than 50 km from Reunion Island in the morning of Friday, “at least at the stage of a tropical cyclone”.

Commemoration of the 2023 rail collision: Greece on a general strike

All of Greece is paralyzed by a general strike on Friday.
