.During the discussions, Mouhamadou Moustapha Faye, CEO of KF Titrisation, moderator of the day indicated that in order to materialize African ambitions in terms of economic and social development, “Our zone will have to face evolving financing needs, in basic infrastructure, transport, energy, among other priority sectors”. For her part, the partner and Co-Director Clifford Chance International LLP, Ouns Lemseffer confirmed that “capital markets must now be seen as an alternative financing tool, but reforms, many of which have already been implemented in the financial sector, especially in Morocco through regulations, must be accentuated, many of which have already been implemented in the financial sector, particularly in
Morocco.”Pour sa part, Cheikh Tidiane Diagne, Directeur du Maghreb et du Sahel, Souscripteur principal de l' Agence multilatérale de garantie des investissements (MIGA) membre du Groupe de la World Bank indicated that when it comes to structured finance, the most remarkable transactions are project financing, “especially sovereign projects.” For the latter, there are certainly private sector operations structured on this basis, “but it is rare”.
