After reaching a five-month high, copper prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) fell on Wednesday. The markets are paying attention to possible American tariffs on the copper market

The three-month reference copper price on the LME slipped from a 5-month high and fell 0.1% to $9,894.5 per metric ton at 02:14 GMT.

LME aluminum fell 0.2% to $2,649.5 per ton, lead fell 0.1% to $2,093, zinc lost 0.4% to $2,952, and tin lost 0.1% to $35,190. Nickel gained 0.5 percent to $16,325

SHFE copper rose 0.4% to 80,660 yuan per ton, SHFE aluminum fell 0.9% to 20,640 yuan per ton, zinc slipped 0.4% to 23,855 yuan, zinc slipped 0.4% to 23,855 yuan, lead lost 0.1% to 23,855 yuan, lead lost 0.1% to 17,615 yuan, and nickel lost 0.2% to 130,520 yuan per ton.
