The Directorate General of the Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP) of Senegal successfully completed, on Friday, July 25, 2025, an operation to simultaneously issue public securities on the WAEMU financial market. This fundraising made it possible to mobilize a total amount of 132 billion CFA francs, thus exceeding the initial objective of 120 billion set for this auction

As part of the financing of the 2025 budget, the State of Senegal successfully raised 132 billion CFA francs following its issuance of a simultaneous auction of 364-day treasury bills and assimilable 3 and 5-year treasury bonds organized on the WAEMU financial market. The transaction aroused strong interest, with a coverage rate of 150.12%, illustrating the strong appetite of investors for the signing of Senegal

This fundraiser took place on more favorable terms than during the previous issues. For one-year bonds, the amount raised was 5.925 billion CFA francs, with a weighted average rate of 6.58%, down from the 6.69% obtained previously. For three-year bonds, the State mobilized 121.16 billion at an average return of 6.68%, compared to 7.18% during the last operation. Finally, for five-year bonds, 4.915 billion were raised at a rate of 7.57%, very slightly lower than the previous 7.58%
