Greece entrusts the certification of its cotton to Better Cotton. 5000 Greek producers are expected to display the label. The organization intends to make life easier for cotton farmers through a label obtained according to specific criteria related to the use of pesticides, taking into account the environment and monitoring working conditions.

Greece is the leading cotton producing country in Europe. A continent that records only 1%  of world production. The Greek certification will offer European brands the opportunity to work and communicate on a cotton "made in Europe" certified BCI.
Europe, it should be recalled, is the continent that consumes the most cotton after Asia Pacific and North America, with Spain, Russia, France and Germany being the most demanding.
