The Beninese presidency announced on Friday that Benin and Nigeria have decided to set up a dynamic cooperation to exchange and share experiences and expertise in rice production.

At the end of the exchanges between Beninese President Patrice Talon and a delegation from the Association of Rice Producers of Nigeria, visiting Cotonou, a dynamic cooperation of exchange and sharing of experiences and expertise is in perspective for the production of rice.
" Benin and Nigeria can complement each other, especially in the agricultural and rice fields. That is why we have decided to draw on the Nigerian experience of developing rice production to meet the needs of our Beninese, Nigerian and even African populations," said President Talon, cited in press release.
For the Beninese Head of State, Benin has significant potential for the promotion of rice cultivation.
