The World of Organic Agriculture, Statistics & Emerging Trends 2021 by FiBL and IFOAM organics international, published in February 2021 reveals that global organic farming is progressing in small steps again in 2019 with a 1.6% increase in global land areas.

Global organic farming is growing, recording an additional 1.1 million hectares (ha) to 72.3 million ha (including land under conversion). The biggest proponents of organic farming are Oceania, Australia, Europe and Latin America.
Compared to the world's agricultural area, the result is still modest (1.5%). The countries that made the most progress in 2019 were India, the United States and France neck and neck with Bolivia.

Sales would be roughly at the same level as in 2018 at €106 billion, almost the same amount as the global chocolate market.
