^{The members of the Strategic Orientation Committee of the Local Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (PCTL) and the Regional Decentralization Support Programme (PRADEF) met this Friday, January 19, 2024 in Cotonou on the occasion of the 3rd session of their} rally.

The meeting, which is scheduled for tomorrow, was held in accordance with decision No. 054/2022/PCOM/ UEMOA establishing, attributions, organization and functioning of the Strategic Orientation Committee for PRADEF and the PCTL 2 dated April 04, 2022. Indeed, the objective of PRADEF and PCTL is to “provide easy and increased access to socio-economic and cultural services to populations living in cross-border areas of West Africa”. Their vision is also to “increase the additional resources allocated by States to Territorial Communities within the framework of development policies in order to improve the basic public services delivered to populations”. The session of the Strategic Steering Committee will review and adopt the review of activities in 2023 and analyze the 2024 work programmes and annual budget.
