At the end of its general meeting, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Matam announced that its budget for the 2021 financial year is balanced in revenue and expenditure at the sum of 62.5 million CFA francs.

62 million 529 thousand 860 CFA francs is the general budget of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Matam for the 2021 financial year, compared to 71 million 150 thousand 694 francs in 2020.
With a decrease of 8 million 620 thousand 834 francs in absolute value compared to the previous financial year, this budget is distributed as follows: 51 million 360 thousand francs for operating credits and 11 million 169 thousand 860 francs for investments.
Speaking at the meeting, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Matam, Mamadou Ndiadé, welcomed the possibility now given to consular chambers such as the one he presides over to prepare the registers of business.
“This year we welcome the agreement obtained from the Minister of Justice to be able to create trade registers within the chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture, which is a step forward to allow better formalization of our economic operators. ", did he declare.
He also listed some challenges that are on the horizon. These include works on the road linking Ourossogui to Thiologne and the exploitation of phosphates in Ndendory.
