Still the leader on the BRVM, the UCITS management company on the BRVM, EDC Asset Management is banking on digital. The Ecobank subsidiary continues to see its assets under management increase.

While competition looks tougher in the years to come, Ecobank is now betting more than ever on digital to stay at the pinnacle of asset management on the BRVM. An enhanced version of its Ecobank Investor app is expected to launch this quarter. This self-service investment and wealth management mobile app is supposed to allow EAM customers to “track their investments and invest for the future”.

The subsidiary, which takes full advantage of its parent company's network, is relying more than ever on digital to stay on top. While we are witnessing the emergence of new, more aggressive competitors, EDC Asset Management (EAM) maintained, for the 3rd consecutive year, its leading position in terms of assets under management on the BRVM, at the end of 2020.

EAM totaled more than 198 billion FCFA in assets under management as of December 31. A 9% increase which continued to consolidate at the start of this year, despite the health crisis. Its assets under management would have continued to improve, passing the 200 billion FCFA mark at the end of March.
