At the end of the implementation of the 2021-2026 action program in Benin, the government plans to achieve the objective of an average growth of 8.3%. The year 2026 marks the end of the implementation of the 342 development projects planned by the program.

The government of Patrice Talon plans to reach an average growth rate of 8.3% after the next 4 years. Indeed, a planning document presented in Cotonou on January 6, 2022 sets this objective in 2026. With a cumulative amount of 12,011 billion CFA francs, this five-year plan aims to improve the economic and social development of Benin. Of this amount, the government already has 3.431 billion FCFA, while it is still looking for 8.580 billion FCFA. Three axes form the basis of this programme. It is first of all about the entrenchment of democracy, the rule of law and good governance.
