The Ivorian e-commerce start-up, Afrikrea has just obtained .4 million euros to export Africa internationally and becomes “ANKA”. The start-up dedicated to "Made Of Africa", has successfully completed a fundraiser with a view to extending its range of mobile products to multiple retail channels.

Afrikrea announced on January 11, 2022 that it had successfully raised 5.4 million euros in series A with Investisseurs & Partenaires as lead investor. At the same time, the platform announces its change of name and becomes "ANKA", the eponymous name of its all-in-1 solution which allows its users not only to sell and ship their products around the world, but also to receive their funds via international, African or local means of payment.

The newly raised capital will be used to develop ANKA's e-commerce SaaS (Software as a Service) mobile infrastructure to enable effortless worldwide access to its users. The funding will also be used to develop new products and strengthen talent acquisition within the product, sales and finance teams, which will include hiring more remote developers. This additional funding brings, to date, the total investment received by the start-up to 7.1 million euros since its creation in 2016.
