Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the West Africa Trade & Investment Hub launched a $24 million (CFA 13 billion) co-investment partnership with the Senegalese credit institution- Locafrique lease. The objective is to continue its momentum by giving priority to the agricultural sector in Senegal, as well as by increasing access to credit for companies in other sectors.

This partnership will not only consolidate Locafrique's leading position in supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) that are often excluded or poorly served by the traditional banking system, but also support it in its mission, which is to participate in the sustainable transformation of the Senegalese economy thanks to alternative and innovative financing solutions adapted to the needs and specificities of Very Small Enterprises (VSEs) / SMEs. This objective will be supported by a co-investment grant of $1.5 million (813 million CFA) from the Trade Hub and $22.7 million (12 billion CFA) of private capital and resources from Locafrique. Through this partnership, Locafrique will establish a $22 million (CFA 12 billion) line of credit for actors in Senegal's agricultural and non-agricultural sectors to help them increase their viability and competitiveness.
